Freelance Content Strategist – Always-On AI Campaign for KOFs

Location: Across the Pond - APAC Region. Remote

About the Role:

Across the Pond Singapore are seeking an experienced and creative Content Strategist to lead the content direction and execution for an always-on campaign for a global tech brand, with a specific focus on engaging Key Opinion Formers (KOFs) across the APAC region.

In this role, you'll craft a content strategy that builds thought leadership, drives relevance in tech-forward conversations, and establish our client as the trusted voice in the future of artificial intelligence. You'll ensure that messaging resonates culturally and contextually across diverse APAC markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the content strategy for an always-on, social-first campaign aimed at Key Opinion Formers (KOFs) in APAC, aligned with the client’s AI’s brand voice and gpositioning.

  • Identify key themes, narratives, and moments to elevate the brand’s AI’s thought leadership in the region.

  • Develop the overarching framework/plan to include: Value Proposition, Audience Segments, Content Pillars, Content Roles, Channels & Formats)

  • Create a regional content roadmap and editorial calendar with both localisation strategies for prioritised markets, and scalability for the wider region.


  • Content Creation, Channel Strategy 

    • Review information on audiences, key topics and  key events provided by the client.

    • Develop a framework to map out key themes and ‘drumbeat’ moments from which to develop original and curated content tailored to KOF interests.

    • Oversee creation of high-impact content formats e.g. thought leadership articles, opinion pieces, expert interviews, social content, whitepapers, videos, etc.).

    • Define content distribution strategies across channels.

    • Define KPIs and success metrics aligned with campaign goals (e.g., share of voice, engagement, sentiment).

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial, or brand storytelling—preferably in B2B tech, AI/ML, or innovation-focused fields.

  • Proven experience creating content strategies for complex, always-on campaigns in APAC or global markets.

  • Deep understanding of AI and emerging tech trends, with the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives.

  • Strong knowledge of APAC market dynamics, cultural nuances, and regional media landscapes.

  • Experience working with or targeting Key Opinion Formers, policy makers, academics, or senior-level tech professionals.

  • Exceptional storytelling, editorial, and project management skills.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments with a high degree of autonomy.

Bonus

  • Experience with influencer engagement or thought leadership campaigns.

  • Background in journalism, strategic communications, or agency-side content strategy.

  • Multilingual proficiency is a plus
