We hosted the "Changing Face of Tech" event, led by our Strategy Director, Kerensa Ayivor
Last week we hosted the groundbreaking "Changing the Face of the Tech" event, and we couldn't be prouder of the insights shared by our brilliant keynote speaker and Strategy Director, Kerensa Ayivor.
Kerensa says:
โIt was such a pleasure to do the keynote speech at our Across the Pond: Changing The Face of Tech event. Sharing ideas with a room full of amazing tech leaders and communicators: Ashley Faus, Olivia Blahut, Nicole DeSantis, Laura Furman, Mea Cole Tefka, Irene Malatesta, Savita Raina, Jaideep Shah
We are fascinated by the role culture plays in shaping peopleโs understanding of technology and what that means for us, as tech communicators. Culture plays a pivotal role in bringing tech closer to us. We dove into:
๐ How tech shows up in culture today โitโs visual and written language. And how people feel as a result of that representation
๐ We explored emerging signals across brands, creators, and digital culture, showing how people are reshaping their relationships with technology and the new values that sit around those changes.
Our biggest insight? Tech's traditionally binary lines are changing and dissolving ๐ฅ
๐ Shifting from masculine to femme values.
๐ค Evolving from human vs. machine to a more collaborative human + machine blend.
๐ Morphing from digital vs real to AFK (Away From Keyboard).
Yes, people are forming new, different relationships with technology. And this gives us food for thought. How do we create more culturally nuanced communication that resonates with these shifts? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. โ
